Greetings!!!
My name is Sonya Z. Phillips and I am proud to have served as Ms. Plus Culture Galaxy 2021. I was crowned as the very first Ms. Plus Culture Galaxy on August 15, 2020.
I am now the Assistant Pageant Director for Miss/Ms. Culture Galaxy Pageants, sister organization to Miss/Ms. American Nation Pageants and Miss/Ms. Empire Royalty Pageants.
I was born and currently live in Virginia Beach, VA, USA. I love to embrace my culture and the culture of others. It excites me to meet new people, try new things and see new places. One of my favorite quotes by J. R. R. Tolkien is
“Not all those who wander are lost.”
I have traveled the world while serving in the United States Army. While in college, I studied Spanish abroad in both Costa Rica and Mexico. I also studied Chinese at Old Dominion University.
I am a Sewing Instructor and I currently mentor youth and volunteer with several organizations such as the Young Investors Group, Pembroke Manor Civic League and the Chesapeake Bay Foundation.
